Hotel La Villa - Istanbul

I loved the hotel's location - it was so convenient being close to Taksim Square and all forms of public transportation. The staff were very professional and helpful, and the breakfast spread was great. The cleanliness of the room was excellent and the hotel facilities were great.

Didn't dislike anything about the hotel!

It was an excellent location but as you will see below this is not enough to recommend it.

In brief, I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. It needs major updating. In the bathroom the sink was cracked and the facet was loose. There was a very musty/smokey smell in the room - it did vanish as the air conditioning came on, thank goodness. The ceiling was dirty but overall the room was clear. I feel that I was ripped off re the price as a friend of mine paid much much less. Also, I booked a hotel drive to the airport - at the last minute I was told by reception that it was not available - they got me a taxi - taxi was great but they only gave the taxi driver 30 tl and I paid 40 at least to the hotel who told me that they were 10 tl cheaper than any taxi. Major ripoff.

The hotel is very good located in the heart of Taxin, the staff is very nice and helpful, there is free wi-fi for the hotel guests.

The breakfast is very poor and it's a shame that in a 4 star hotel they charge you 7 Liras (around 4 €) for an orange juice! The prices of the minibar are crazies: I paid 30€ for 3 or 4 small bottle of water and a snack(for the average prices of Istanbul these prices are crazies!!) !! My suggestion is: stay away from extras and but everything (water, etc) in the little shops that surround the hotel. Another thing that I don't like are the room: too small! Before booking, consider this hotel a 3 stars, not a 4 stars as it is.

The hotel is conveniently located close to the airport bus stop and is a short walk from Taksim Square. the rooms are modern and comfortable, with modern amenities like a large TV and iBase. Bathrooms are well-maintained and well-stocked. the friendly staff are always willing to help, and the breakfast is satisfying and filling.

The noise from the street can be an issue for light sleepers.

Location is very good.

Rooms are very dirty. Plugs are broken. Durty rugs are brought every day instead of towels.

breakfast is not much varied, we smelled bad smell from the sink but it did not last for long.

Stayed here for 8 nights over Christmas and New Year. the room had a large fridge and TV, and was cleaned daily. the staff were friendly, and I appreciated being asked if I wanted my room cleaned instead of being disturbed. the location was convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions. the breakfast was enjoyable with friendly restaurant staff.

The room had a slight odor from the plumbing, however, it wasn't too bothersome. Some of the facilities appeared slightly worn.

Great location, close to transportation. Friendly and helpful staff. Adequate breakfast spread. Nice and new facilities.

Can't fault the hotel in any way.

Hotel Staff and Service

Rooms are not very spatial ...however good if staying without children.

The room was clean and modern, with a comfortable bed and a nice bathroom. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially during breakfast time. The hotel was located in a central area, which made it easy to access many restaurants and shopping areas during Easter holidays.

helpfull staff, location was so nice.. a few minute by walk to Taksim Square and Istiklal street , also so close to metro station..

I liked the design of the room and the friendliness of staff. The bed was also very comfortable.

The rooms are a bit small. The breakfast was OK, but they definitely need to change the baker
